Saturday Workshops for Math Teachers

(MATH 5080: Mathematics for Secondary School Teachers)

From the Cornell Department of Mathematics K-12 Education and Outreach program, Dr. Mary Ann Huntley plans and leads a series of four full-day workshops annually for area secondary mathematics teachers, a program begun in 1985. Meetings will be held from 3:30 - 5:00 on the TST BOCES campus, in the Seneca Smart room.

What is a TI User Group?  TI User Groups are for educators interested in sharing information about TI technology use in their classrooms/schools and learning from other educators' thoughts, ideas, approaches, and experiences.  Typically User Groups meet once a month for approximately 2 hours and have 5-25 participants at each meeting.

These groups are intended to provide educators with:

+ Opportunities for sharing with individuals in the same geographic area.

+ Support for those new to teaching and/or new to TI technology.

+ A forum to discuss important issues and challenges.

+ A way to stay up-to-date with the latest information on TI technology.

+ Opportunities to get to know T3 Instructors in their area and learn about available professional development.
