Special Ed Springboard

 Springboard (COSER 202)

PROGRAM MISSION

The goal of the Springboard program is to provide classified students, who are 16 years or older, with the skills they will need to live independently in the community.  The program works in collaboration with the Career and Technical Center which is also located on the TST BOCES campus.  Students spend half of their day in an academic setting and half of their day in a vocational program.  The academic curriculum is based around classes such as 'Job Seeking Skills', 'Independent Living Seminar', and 'Current Issues Related to Gov't.'.  Students graduate from the Springboard program after three years of study and receive an Individual Education Plan diploma from their referring school district.  All referrals to the Springboard program are made through one of our component school districts.
