Grades 6 - 12, GED 1, GED 2

T-S-T Community School serves students who are having difficulty getting through school. Students apply through their schools' guidance offices.

Middle and high school students are working toward a regular Regents Diploma. They sit for all of the appropriate New York State Education Department tests, NYS assessments for middle school and Regents Tests for high school students. Credits are awarded by the sending school and students graduate from their sending school.

In order to study for an equivalency diploma, a GED, a student must have turned 16 before July 1 of the current year. The student must have little chance of obtaining a regular high school diploma. High school guidance counselors know the NYSED regulations that pertain to this. In exceptional cases, a variance from the rules may be obtained.

All of the programs are designed to encourage a supportive, caring, participatory community. Many of our students also attend career and technical education programs on the main T-S-T BOCES campus. Graduates attend community colleges, technical schools, four year colleges, enter the military or the workforce.
