TST Students Excel at NYS Area II Regional Conference SkillsUSA Competition at SUNY Morrisville - Take Home 15 Trophies, The Most Wins In TST's Competition History

On Friday, February 9th, TST BOCES Career and Technical Education demonstrated outstanding performance at the NYS Area II Regional Conference SkillsUSA competition hosted by SUNY Morrisville. The event brought together approximately 1,000 students from across Area II, spanning from the St. Lawrence region to Binghamton, with a total of 21 chapters participating.

A total of 42 students proudly represented TST BOCES, with students from 11 different CTE programs, showcasing their skills and passion in the 48 competitions that took place throughout the day. The competitions covered a variety of skills associated with different trades.

All nine of TST BOCES component school districts were represented by the diverse group of students selected to compete, showcasing the collective talent and dedication of the region's future workforce across a spectrum of industries and specialties. Among these exceptional students, 15 emerged as standouts, securing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in their respective contests.

The TST community congratulates all the winners and participants for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance at the NYS Area II Regional Conference SkillsUSA competition. Each student showcased not only their technical skills but also their commitment to excellence in their chosen fields. The 15 winners, amongst other standouts, will be performing at the New York State SkillUSA Championship happening April 24-26th in Syracuse, NY.
