🐐Vet Skills & Goat Thrills: A Hands-On Day in Animal Science! 👩‍⚕️ The Animal Science classroom got extra cuddly the other day with some very special visitors—baby goats! 🥰🐐 Our students had the incredible opportunity to work 1:1 with the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine team during a disbudding procedure on the goats. Disbudding, the removal of horn buds in young goats, is a common vet practice that helps keep both the animals and their caretakers safe while managing herd dynamics. Precision in Welding, Innovation in Action 🔥🔬 Last Friday our TST BOCES Career and Tech Welding seniors got an exclusive all-access tour of the Cornell NanoScale Facility, exploring every floor from basement to ceiling to see the intricate piping and orbital welding that keep the cleanroom running. 🪙🥧Pennies for a cause, pies for the applause! 🪙🥧 The Pie2Face Annual Event was a smashing success—literally! 😆 Through Penny Wars, students and staff donated loose change to vote for who would get pied and who would do the pie-ing! 💰➡️🥧 Each penny added points for a staff member to take a pie to the face, while silver coins lowered their total—leading to some sneaky (and strategic!) sabotage. They made their debut 33 cm from the end. 🦖 🔹 Humans? A tiny 1 cm blip on the timeline! 👀 🔹 Sharks? You might be surprised to find out they've been swimming around long before dinosaurs even roamed the earth! 🦈>🦕 Students had a blast charting Earth’s major eras and discovering when their favorite animals first appeared.
