Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dryden Central School District Superintendent Joshua Bacigalupi and BOE members Tami Tabone and Leslie Debo to TST BOCES.
The visit began at TST PTECH Academy where students proudly introduced their teachers, showcased class projects, and shared their work-based learning experiences. Guests were wowed by the impressive Tompkins Cortland Community College facilities that P-TECH students access every day.
The tour continued on our main TST campus with a visit to TST BOCES Career and Tech Center, where guests explored the learning spaces Dryden CTE students call home, met teachers, and connected with CTE administrators.

This week was the 19th annual New Visions Life Sciences Research Symposium and what a huge success it was! 🎉
Our students spent the year working with Cornell researchers on real-world science, diving into topics like atmospheric science, microbiology, veterinary science, and more. 🔬🌱
The symposium gave them a chance to share their research with peers, family, and mentors. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve accomplished, and we can’t wait to see what they do next! 👏🎓

A podium finish at a once-in-a-century event— our FFA students represented TST BOCES Career and Tech with pride at the 100th New York FFA Convention earlier this month! 🏆
Over the course of three days, 20 of our Animal Science students participated in hands-on workshops, leadership meetings, animal handling and showmanship trainings, and even gave back through service projects like assembling doggie goodie bags for local animal shelters. 🐾
Among the standout moments was the Veterinary Science Career Development Event, where 60 teams competed statewide. TST was represented by two teams—and one earned a spot on the podium! 👏
🥉 Congrats to Nicole Morrow, Ryan Rose, Evan Jackson, and Hannah Mason for placing third overall! To place among the top in the state during FFA’s 100th anniversary made this experience all the more memorable. Here’s to the next century of leadership and learning! 🌾💙

This month, we’re celebrating the many ways people communicate and the important role speech-language pathologists (SLPs) play in supporting our programs.
Recently, our SLPs joined a few cooking classes to explore and model different ways people communicate. From AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices to eye gaze technology and switches, students had the opportunity to learn about the tools and techniques that help individuals share their thoughts, needs, and ideas.

Last week, our campus transformed into a vibrant cultural hub as the Regional School Success Department welcomed 14 bilingual seniors from Dryden, Trumansburg, and Lansing for our 2nd Annual Seal of Biliteracy Day! 🌍💬
Students demonstrated their proficiency in Spanish, French, Ukrainian, Russian, and Mandarin through impressive culminating projects presented to panels of fluent judges. Those who earn the Seal will receive a special diploma distinction 📜 and a medallion to wear at graduation! 🏅🎓
