To say we're beyond proud would be an understatement for how we feel about our four amazing CTE SkillsUSA students who qualified to compete in the National Leadership and Skills Conference held in Atlanta, GA, from June 24-28, 2024!

🌟 Gray Larson (Digital Media, Lansing Central School District) - competed in T-Shirt Design
🌟 Scianna Shank (Digital Media, Newfield Central School District) - worked her magic behind a camera in Photography
🌟Alex Shramko (Welding, Dryden Central School District ) - makes sparks fly in Welding
Although Alex couldn't compete due to his report date for the United States Marines, Keara, Gray, and Scianna competed with talent and excellence!
Even though our students didn't secure top placements, their experience was invaluable. They represented New York State with immense pride and gained so much from this incredible opportunity.
The trip wasn't all work without some fun! The trip highlights include:

👋 Trading pins and making new friends from across the nation.
Interacting with national industry vendors who shared their expertise and enthusiasm.

🌭🎉 Yesterday marked our beloved TST tradition - Hot Dog Day! 🎉🌭
On the last day of the school year, our administration fires up the grill for a delicious hot dog feast, inviting every staff member to join in the fun! Our Board of Education President delivered an inspiring speech, and we proudly recognized our dedicated team with milestone pins for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years of service, and an incredible 35-year pin was awarded to Linda Padgett for her years of remarkable commitment, serving on our Board of Education! 🎖️
We also celebrated those stepping into retirement! Congratulations to all our staff members on a fantastic school year! The 2023-2024 school year was one to remember, and is now officially in the history books! For those who won't be setting an alarm come September, enjoy every moment of your well-deserved retirement! Our New Visions Engineering students turned the TST BOCES Campus into mission control yesterday with their incredible rocket launches! Using OpenRocket software, they designed their rockets, tweaking fin size, shape orientation, body dimensions, and nose cone shape. The virtual test flights helped them predict height and stability, ensuring their creations were engineered for success, not just looks. 🧮 🧑🔬
While the rockets were in flight, our students used trigonometry to calculate the heights of their launches based on angle and distance measurements. Yesterday, June 10th, New Visions Health & Medical Sciences hosted the second annual poster expo at Cayuga Medical Center! 🌟
Every student showcased their hard work by conducting research, writing papers, and designing impressive research posters. Families, friends, administrators, mentors, and teachers all had the chance to engage with students and learn about a variety of important topics—from organ donation and racial disparities in healthcare to eldercare and the cost of prescription medicine in the US. 🏥🩺
